The mechanic took apart the rear to check it and declared it fine. He noticed my springs had no clamps, so he put some on. I took the van for its first drive more than 10 miles in months, but the sound it was making when going up a hill is unchanged. I am thinking it might be the flywheel. I tried recording the sound on my phone, and will let him listen to it. Might have to get him to drive it a bit to hear.
If i back off the gas, it will stop, so for now ill just creep where i gotta go. For good or ill i can not afford to sit around without transport any longer.
Applied for a part time job today as well. : /
